Slight Death Wobble at 49MPH

70K. No lift. Good tires- Recently aligned and balanced.

The wobble comes at 49 and fades at 51.

What could be causing this?

I've experience the DW several times before, and have never known it to go away by increasing speed. In my experience, you have to slow to a complete stop to end the DW (or keep going and die ) Maybe it is something else. Have you checked your alignment?

Has this vehicle ever been wrecked? Has it done this since you've owned it, or did it just start doing it on it's own?

Check the steering stabilizer, it may have let go.

I had a 98 GC 4.0 before my current one and it did the DW for a few weeks, when I took it in to the dealer (still under the extended warranty) they changed the transmission fluid & filter and changed out the fluid in the transfer cases. Not sure if that will help you, but it did the trick for me.
