Skid Plate?

Well today after shopping around the jy and found a Skid Plate off of a Junked ZJ that had a under hood fire. So i looked underneath it and it had the stock skid... so i want to ask this is 25 dollars a good price for it?

For all three skid plates? Yes !
Be careful when removing the front one. If you arent ready for it, it likes to break noses.

( for the record...NO...mine never fell on me ..)

I used just a nut and bolt with a locking washer. The two in the crossmember are really easy. The one in the uniframe I used a magnet to fish it to the hole. That's where the locking washer comes in, it keeps the nut from spinning so you can tighten it down. It worked for me and my brother extremely well.

It didnt have all three? Are you sure there isnt one under the gas tank too?
I took my front one off to do some work on mine this past spring, and just havent reinstalled it yet. That thing is so heavy, I swear my gas mileage increased...lol !

I didnt look if it had the gas tank skid plate but I did like the fact that it had the transfer case skid and this one was a laredo.. you could get the skid on all models but it was all optional including tow hooks.

Also what size bolts does it take... and how would be the best way to bolt it in?

You can get nutsertz from the dealer or Fastenal to install into the pre-drilled holes in the frame. There was a write up sometime ago about making an installation tool for the nutsertz.

I just installed my skids this morning. Got some nice ones from the local junk yard. I didn't get the nuts and bolts to go with mine either, so I went down to the Tractor Supply to get some...

Metric M12-1.75 x 35 did the trick.

Got the skid on... Pain in the a$$ but its on and looks good... the bolts that went in the crossmember wasnt to hard but the one that goes in the frame was a PIA. Took some wire and threaded it on the bolt and shoved it into another hole big enough to slip it through. So now its skid ready hahah. Ill take pics of it when it stops raining... anybody else Got a pic of a stock skid or aftermarket. For 25 bucks i dont think i came out of this to bad.
