We don't. The biggest difference for me personal was that when I got my WJ the fogs were way way way to low, without changing the bulb, just adjusting to proper fog light levels I could actually use them, that alone made the single biggest difference next to hid's.

All I know is I can see better know that they are aimed properly. Do these bulbs belong in the Vanilla Ice comeback video or the next version of fast & the furious? They are borderline. They do match the factory EL gauges better...haha

Since I'm out in the country, having them aim lower putting greater light in the foreground I'm actually going to reduce my long range night vision as my pupils close reacting to brighter light close in.

I'll put the stock bulbs back in next week and reaim to compare, but as of now the single greatest improvement you can make to your WJ lighting is to properly aim them to compensate for your weight and your front springs sagging.

Ive heard some folks say these bulbs look "blue" but i havent seen that at all. Mine are just a bright looking white. Im wondering if folks have gotten the Sylvania "blue" bulbs and are mistakenly thinking they are Silverstars?

There is "blue" and then there is just plain blue. If the bulbs themselfs have a blue coating it will be blue to some extent, or if you running at the same stock wattage (55 I believe) it will appear a cloudy white. Everyone knows my opinion on both, but you should check to see if there legal in your state. I know in virginia any bulb that forwards forward driving light must have clear glass, regardless of color output

That is a retrofit, exactly what I was talking about in the other thread.

I had toyed with the idea of retrofitting a bi-halogen projector on my ZJ, I think hid's don't go with the cars image at all. Never got around to it though

I replaced mine with silverstars and I noticed a HUGE difference. However I think my old ones were on their way out... when I removed them, the bulb was 90% black all around the glass...

I expected them to be blue from the package, but they werent... however I wasn't very disappointed... it didn't matter as much to me as long as they did their job.

All halogen bulbs have a life span of up to 200 hours, some as low as 20 (extreme rice lights) but either way, over time they dim or become dull. You would amazed how much more of a difference a replacement set of new oem bulbs makes

I installed mine almost a year ago (March 06) and they're (in my opinion) as bright as when I bought them.

All depends on how often you use them and how often there turned on/off

Most regular halogens last for 200 hours and on the Sylvania website it lists the Silver Stars as lasting for 150 hours.

Thats really pitiful then if the industry average is 200 and even the marketing people say 150.

Keep in mind oem spec HID's (philips or osram bulbs, philips or hella ballasts) last 2000-2500 hours.

Put in Silverstars in mine. Put the old bulbs in the fog lights. Gave me a brighter fog light, but still kept the yellowish tint that's suppose to be good in the fog. The Silver stars have been in for over a year. I sort of like them. They could be a little brighter, but I don't want to mess with redoing any wiring.
