Shock question

I know I've seen the answer to my question around here before, but my google-fu has failed me.

Is there a particular way to mount the rear shocks? I just installed a budget boost today and I think I mounted them upside down and they're not working at all. The rear end bounces up and down as if there are no shocks.

Could it be because they're upside down would make them not work right?

Yes. Most shocks will not work right if mounted upside down.

Well, crap. At least they're fairly easy to get on/off. Just going to be a PITA to get the bushing out of the rubber damper.

Thanks for the info Bob.
