The bolt that you want to snap in half because they are so stuck with rust in the threads never do.
Instead its the ones you absolutley dont want to break that snaps in half turning a quick job into a full day....
Bolts and nuts that are so rusted that neither inch or mm tools will work on them.
You start a repair by using a hammer to get all the loose rust of the parts so you can start to see where its attached and what it is.
Allenheads and torx that are just a round hole where the tool is supposed to go....
You guys have it way to easy
Now ontopic again:
I wouldn´t worry about the shock until it starts to leak.
If the rusted shield bothers you then just cut it off, it will eventually fall off anyways.
