Shave a control armbushing

My upper control arms are so tight in the body mount that they squeak very loud every bump or dip. Can I shave the bushing?

I'm going to rotate the body end of the passenger side 180 degrees because right now the fat end of the bushing is facing the motor. So that's half the problem. I'm also gonna put silicone paste in there

My sway bar bushings are poly, the frame mount brackets have grease fittings. When greased frequently using the thickest grease I can find, they are quiet. Ignore them too long, then the "hee-haw" donkey squeaks come back, more so when temps are below 50F.
