******* me I was starting to replace the belt and I ended up breaking the socket that goes into the tensioner.No way I can get it out,it is completly flush with the tensioner.Is there a different method of releasing tension?

Yer changing the belt right? Cut it
No idea how to get the new one on there though

Great help I could get it off that way but I need to get the new one on.So untill I figure out a way im leaving the stocker one on.

Cut the belt, remove tensioner, and if you can't find a way to get the broken part out on the bench, replace the tensioner.
The 4.0 tensioner is about a $60 part.

I dont think you would exclusivley use the bolt head to do it but not sure. Maybe a tie down strap with hooks and insert a hook inbetween the pully and the pully frame and hook it down somewhere below the engine. Pull the strap and it may release the tension enough to get the belt off. I would be very carefull trying it that way though as I dont know how much tension that spring has.

Roommate suggested loosening the alternator or AC pump enough to slip on a new belt.
