serpentine belt

Hello, this is my thread…I have a 01 GC with the 4.7L

I recently changed the serpentine belt along with the tensioner to eliminate squealing when the A/C is on and turning the wheel. However I still get a little squealing from the engine(belt).
When I rev the engine up I noticed the serpentine belt get very lose between the alternator and the power steering pump. Has anyone encountered this before? Could it be a bad ps pump?

Any idea would be much appreciated.

If it runs fine with the A/C off, then I would suspect a bad compressor. If you hear the belt squeeling, chances are it's slipping more than you think. With the A/C on, and the compressor engaged, watch the compressor pulley to see if it locks up, then the belt will then slip around the stopped compressor clutch pulley and cause the noise. If it makes the sound and locks when the the compressor isn't engaged, it's the clutch assembly.
