safari rack

I've been looking for a safari rack that will hold more than 150 lbs offroad with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to get that spare out of my rig!

My Con-Ferr roof rack is rated at 200-250 lbs but has been tested at over 400lbs. but at the much weight there are more considerations like how and where it's mounted. Con-Ferr racks are awesome in my opinion but good luck finding them, Con-Ferr closed it's doors last year.

Another company is said to build them like Con-Ferr but I am not sure of the rack ratings.

kevens rack is really beefy and im sure would hold up to anything you can do to it. i made my own but most people dont have the time or equipmet and i used the same mounting system keven usses which is saprisingly not too hard to make when you know what it is.

This is probably the one froggo means..

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11219524&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eC at=BC|3960|21248|21350&N=4008215&Mo=22&pos=5&No=14 &Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=21350&Ns=P_Price|1||P_Sig nDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10615-Cat21248&topnav=

There is also one by DeeZee for $259...

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11134621&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eC at=BC|3960|21248|21350&N=4008215&Mo=22&pos=5&No=7& Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=21350&Ns=P_Price|1||P_Sign Desc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10615-Cat21248&topnav=

Not bad looking either one of them.

And I would match the combo with this..:
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11195695&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eC at=BC|3960|21248|56369&N=4017289&Mo=19&pos=1&No=5& Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=56369&Ns=P_Price|1||P_Sign Desc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC10615-Cat21248&topnav=

for us whe are less than 7 feet tall and need to put the spare in the rack.

Did you just bolt right through the roof? How did you keep it from leaking?

ok on the botom pic it goes left to right as it sits top to botom when conecting to the stock rail. no nothing goes through the roof. the far left piece is welded to the botom of the rack the 2 inch channal is next with one of the sids cut half off so it sits leval, and finally the 1 1/2 inch channal is hucking under the lip of the factory rail and the bolts run up through everything. as a side note i was unable to find the inch and a half channal so i used 3/4 angle and welded then together. this is a good sysetm for any rack weather you make your own or want to make a better system for a rack you already have.
