Rusty's steering conversion

I put Rusty's steering conversion kit on today and I am amazed at the difference. It is a kit that replaces the stock tie-rod and drag link with extra heavy duty parts and realigns the steering after a lift. Consists of a wheel-to-wheel tie rod and the drag link connects off the tierod, instead of the factory setup. It got rid of the last little bit of wobble I still had after the lift. I also added a second steering stabilizer just for a little extra assurance. While I was at it, I also put on Rusty's rear lower control arms to center the axle just a little bit more. Overall I'm very happy with today's projects. Oh yeah, finally got around to putting on a hitch, too.

Here is the link to the steering conversion. Best $240 I've spent besides the lift itself.

not to rain on your parade but if you're going to run the crappy y-inverted steering setup you'd be better off with something like Curry that uses bigger TRE's and thicker materials.

Oh don't worry, it's nice and sunny here for my parade. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy with the results. So that is all that really matters, isn't it?

No photos? How close does it come to you your track bar bolt on the axle end on a right turn at full lock?

This is the best angle I could get. It looks closer than it is. There is about 1/4 inch of space at full lock.

The onroad performance is much improved. I would get a shaking, like an out of balance tire, at around 40 MPH. That is now gone. The steering wander is also a non issue too. It feels tighter now than even before the lift and bigger tires. I'm sure the second steering stabilizer is helping with that, but I'm also sure the the steering system is helping, too. I can take more pics, what would you like to see?

i also would like to see the steering system as a whole. can you rotate that 2nd steering stabilizer a little bit so it wouldnt be so prone to being ripped off by rocks? that would be a concern of most people.

It's hard to get the whole system in one shot, so here goes. I'll show a couple.
