Rusty's 1" lift for zj?

I was thinking about going with a 2" bb...but I don't want to change the shocks, so I think I'm going to go with a 1" coil spacer kit from rusty's

....and then fit some 15x31" tires with some inner fender trimming

do I need new bump-stops for a 1" lift?

and whats the biggest tire size you can fit stock on a zj? .....

it's a 1997 v8, 4x4, limited

Dang beat me to it. No bump stops should be needed.

one inch will barely make difference. if your paying for the spacers you might as well get 2 inchers.... they're almost the same price. you dont HAVE to change your shocks with a 2"... as long as you dont go offroad.

you can still go wheeling with the stock shocks, but you will kill your shocks REALY fast.

Im still wheeling with the stock shocks on my 2" BB and its been a good 8 months. Nothing really hardcore though. Its about time to change mine but everytime I have money saved up for them a problem pops up....

I would not waste the time or the money on a 1 inch lift.
You would get a mild case of inchitis very soon.
Save the money and the effort for at least three inches.
Just my humble opinion having gone through a lifted Bronco, a lifted XJ and now a lifted ZJ.
And I am in Florida, not in Cali, where you have way more spots for rock crawling.

yea, ok

now I'm going for a two inch lift

dang, I'm still looking on my local craigslist before going brand new, and no one's really selling any lifts for zj's or anything

I Might acutally go and order the bb soon

and you say the stock shocks work for off road for a while then huh?...I guess if I get the bb if I can't find anything used, I'll use the stock shocks for a bit

what size shocks should I use for a bb (front/rear)?

If I was a stone, I would rock

Here's what i did. I've been told to use the BPE's for the front shocks if you run a 2"BB w/ stock shocks. This will give about 1" extra on the front shocks, this way they won't be so extended. This is one of many site's that offer these http://www.kevinsoffroad.com/jksbpes.html

your best bet to find a lift is on this site if you are looking used. you wont find much lift wise on craigslist.

Here are some on ebay for $60 plus $15 for shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-...spagenameZWDVW
Ebay is probably easier to find spacers than craigslist and $75 isn't a bad deal. Just make sure whatever is polyurethane.
