Rotating tie rod and drag link?

Hey everyone, I have an 02 wj, 4.0 I6. I just had to switch my tie rod this past weekend as the person who had it before me put it on backwards! I noticed while I was down there that both my tie rod and drag link can rotate about 30 degrees forward and backward. I dunno, I don't think it's normal but I wanted to see if anyone knows what that means? Thanks!

The rotation is normal...the easier it gets though the bigger of a sign of them wearing out. A brand new one is hard to move at all.
