Roof rack lights wiring - how to.

Since the search is down, I am posting this question on how to get the wires in the cabin w/out drilling the roof.

I bought the Surco roof rack from the forum member "theothermatt"... very good condition! I need to run the wires from the roof to the inside so I can hook up the lights.

Can someone point me on how to do this?? Here is a link to the pic of my Jeep. Pretty much stock... but the 3.5" lift is coming in spring '08.

Thanks!

I gotta tell ya, that install looks like what the Germans call "scheiss", bundles of wires running all over the place and that UGLY thing coming out of the tailgate.
If you want that real "homemade" look, though, this is how ya do it.

It would be somewhat more difficult but enormously cleaner to run the light wires INSIDE the rack tubing.

One of the suggestions in that thread talked about removing a screw for the roof rail. Anyone know how to do that? That will be super clean methinks.

With a torx bit, take the screw out & run the wires though the hole.

dude... I haven't looked at how the rails are held to the roof. Hence the stoopid question. It's dark outside and I am afraid of the dark...
