Seems like a well designed bumper but wth were they thinking not seam welding the lower piece into the upper?!?!? A) it would have stiffened up the entire assembly and; B) it would have fixed that ugly stitch welded seam. For $1500 I would expect the small stuff and finish work to be top notch, not look like a beginners fab job. Not tryin to be a dick mind you, just pointing out something that woulda pissed me of, especially at that price point!

Needs parts?

a bit much for my taste... and too bad they don't offer the rear bumper without the tire carrier

but i do love the look of the front bumper they sell clean, simple, doesn't stick out 5 miles in front of the jeep, and has the mounting tabs for d-rings

I agree that it would have been a bit cleaner if they seam welded the lower piece, but I don't think it will affect strength or stiffness much because the main part of the bumper where the hitch and d-ring tabs are is actually square tubing completely enclosed. Looks wise, I'm not bothered by it. It could have been cleaner, but I'm happy with it

I actually built my front bumper myself and was considering doing the back, but I just didn't have the time and out of all the bumpers I looked at, I liked this one the best.

Actually, you can get the bumper without the tire carrier. It's about $600.

Yeah... that would have been better. I'm just being lazy. Maybe I'll edit my post later.

I am... how else would I be able to make a thread. We don't need to hate on the other Jeep Forums. We all love jeeps and I've gotten a ton of great information from that site over the years.
