Rock Auto "Pro" series radiator
Has anyone used this radiator with success? I am on a tight budget and this is the least expensive one I could find. Comes with a 2 year warranty.

I haven't been able to find any info about this. I have found Vista Pro and Proline. I am not sure if these are the same or not. It's only 120 bucks shipped. There were a few inquiries about PRO radiators on some forums but no conclusive results.
I found a great deal on a brand of radiator called "Reach". Looks like they are a pretty big company but I again can't find many opinions about the quality.

Seems like it's impossible to find a decent radiator for a V8 ZJ these days.
I'm at the point where my next one will be all metal. That way maybe it can be rapaired.

How many have you gone through? I think this one's around 4 years old. It was replaced along with the water pump by the po. Now it has a nice 4 inch crack on the top right. I am lucky it hasn't left me stranded yet.

At least 6 between my two ZJs. Half of them CSF 3-cores from the internet..total junk. But lifetime warranty. Eventually you get tired of swapping them and try something else.

I never had the radiator go bad on my 95 for the ten years I owned it. I wonder what the heck is going on. So do you think there is a big difference between the 3 rads that rock auto sells? They are all the same style just different on the price.

Griffin makes makes one in the USA. All aluminum and expensive. If you don't get that one I would say get the cheapest all metal one you can find.

What about this one http://www.radiatorexpress.com/produ...aia_id=1315953
This company is pretty ridiculous though. Their life time warranty is only 5 years and you only get one replacement. Shady advertising. That aluminum rad only has a 1 year warranty. I may Just get one local someplace.

I put one of these in my 98 4.0. Has been running perfectly. The one I received is actually a Silla radiator. I've heard good and bad about them. Kind of like my furnace I just replaced. 50% of the people loved them, 50% thought they were the biggest POS ever made. In both cases, I haven't had a single problem yet.

That's a hundred bucks more than the v8 model. Weird. I found this one as well. I can' spend a lot on this, I have yokes and drive shafts to do as well. http://www.shepherdautoparts.com/all...9l_v8_360.html

I've got the 4.0L version of this rad
https://shop.performanceradiator.com...roduct_id=6601
I've had it for a fewwaffle months now and it's held up and worked very well so far... no complaints really (just seems to take a little but longer to warm up on very cold mornings lol)

I broke down and ordered the cheapest OEM Radiator that rock auto had. There were to many others to choose from and my small budget kept getting larger and larger. I will be the guinea pig.

As far as non metal tanks go, almost all radiators are equal. Get this one:

Lifetime warranty and their customer service is pretty good... I've used 3 ZJ radiators from them and have zero complaints, it's the exact same radiator you would get from Advance or Rock Auto. The one in my ZJ is going on 3.5 years old and still looks brand new, and my temperature stays lower than the stock radiator ever kept it.

You just missed me! Oh well. That is a great price though. I paid 30 bucks more just now. Now the only thing keeping me sane is knowing that Rock Auto will have it here fast. I need it in and running by Wed. We have company coming in from out of town and The wife and I are taking them into the desert with a surprise destination of this crazy brothel in Pahrump. I hear they have good burgers. It's pretty humorous to me. "When we went and visited them, they took us to a whore house for lunch!".
Is the rubber gasket that runs along the top radiator brace by the hood latch necessary to put back on? I don't see what purpose it serves.
