I used the spray on duplicolor maybe 4 or 5 months ago. Sadly, it's peeling off and looks like complete crap now. I'm going to refinish with herculiner or something.

For those that used herculiner/roll on, how much did you use?

Mine's held up pretty well. There was one section that I didn't notice at first where I didn't put the first coat on thick enough, so there are still pinpoints of the original paint down in the cracks, but that was easy to fix with another application.

I bought the full kit from Herculiner at Autozone for around $70, and used about half on the sides. Didn't do the front or rear bumpers though. I'm pretty sure that one kit would be sufficient, plus I went heavy, since I was only doing the sides and took off the plastic.

One thing that I've noticed is that it goes on shiny, but gets more of a matte finish after about the first month. I know they sell a top coat product to keep it more glossy, but I prefer the flat black look.

Agreed. I did mine with the duplicolor roll-on. Looks good for a few months, but it peels off eventually. I had a half-gallon of it left so I redid the whole thing last week and afterwards hit it with a can of the spary-on stuff, hoping to seal it up. Next time I'll go with herculiner or, should I fall into some money, get it Line-X'ed.

I'll post pics once I figure out how to upload them from the hard drive.
