Wow...not sure where to start there.

The square is stronger then round...then go and compare the joints on Claytons to cheaper long arm kits and you'll find Claytons to be so much beefier. They also provide a subframe which not many of the other LA manufacturers do. Having said that, since you plan on being a parking lot princess Jeep, there is no reason for you to drop that kind of money on their setup.

If I were you, this is what I would do:
1) Get the 4" Teraflex springs that are on sale.
2) Get IRO's front LA (the brackets & long arms only)
3) Get a set of fixed rear LCA's that are sized for a 4" lift
4) Get a set of appropiatiely sized extended sway bar end links for the front and rear.
5) Get an a-arm spacer.
6) If you have a CV style front driveshaft, get a U-jointed version.
7) Get a set of decent shocks. RE Monotube, Bilstein's, etc...
8) skain8 touched on this...but do you plan on regearing? With your engine I wouldn't say it is a true necessity, but don't come complaining here if you miss that power/acceleration you used to have.

SnowLeapord: Regearing is the same on the LSD axles as it is on an open diff'ed axle.

Just buy the RC for now, we'll deal with the problems later. I've got your back. Lets get these 33's on.

I know you want her to build a kick *** Wj, but what your reccomending is out of her budget. She admitted that, and she doesn't want to wait 2 years.

That is what I would consider a very very very budget 4" lift to fit 33's. Anything less and it'll be more difficult to get 33's to work. Especially for a pavement princess...this is all a lot of work and money just to fit 33's. And when gas prices go back up, are you going to be freaking out because your gas mileage sucks? Just things to consider.

I will state right now, i could give a $%^&* about gas mileage. I considered buying a 70's chevy like the old 79 gmc i use to drive in high school. And your gas mileage doesn't suffer TOO much if you regear properly. Of course it wont be stock, but it wont be 8 mpg either. I'm just going to wing it and deal with problems as they come. Short arms are fine for now. Believe me, I wish I had money to do a 4.5" RK long arm or equivalent, but the experience seems interesting. Just think of me as your dumb ginger non rock crawling field researcher.

Worst case we use my long arms, and I finally get around to building a beef supreme set.

Gas milage sucks in these things no matter what. Mine with heavy Beadlocks and E rated 35s, and 3.73s still avgs around 12-13. And the 33's are narrow, making them easy to fit.
