Replacing Rear Hatch Window?

Since they broke in to my car two weeks ago i've been needing to replace the glass on the lift gate/hatch.. I've called around and everywhere i have asked its 300$ or more....
I went to Mexicali MX and asked around its it still 270 - 300$.

I was wondering if i could get the window off a junkyard without them ruining the sealant that's glued to the glass. Could i just install it on my Zj?

or would there be some small risks of some sort...?

Assuming he could find one in a matching color.. if it mattered to him. I'd consider upgrading to a 96+ hatch while i was at it.

Aren't those the one with the opening window?

And can i just pop it in without any crazy mods?

The lock & latch on the opening window are entirely electrically operated, but those components will be in the donor hatch. You may have to do some splicing to get power to the circuit, but I think it could be done.

Yes, bolt on. You will have to do some wiring as stated for the window to operate... theres a few write up's on this out there.
