Replacing distributorcap/rotor

On a ZJ 5.9 with approx. 50.000 miles on it...worth it or not?

Depends on if you want good spark to your combustion chamber.

If you replace it, go for the brass contacts. The aluminum ones corrode and cause sluggish starts and performance.

LOL Yes I would like that actually!

Brass contacts? You mean the rotor tips or the contacts in the cap itself?
Wich ones are sold at the dealers, or both?

Thank you!

You better bring plenty of patience with you when you change that cap.

Errr...how's that?

From what I can tell it's not that bad? Undo two screws holding the cap on and in my Jeep you can reach it quite easily....granted I've got long arms so easy to reach over for it but I failo to see thye problem?

Any hints before I regret ever doing it lol?
