kinda just an FYI.
Cracked radiator core + leaking heater core + cooling system flush + both TREs (+ alignment) + oil change = $2200.
$125/hr labor rate. It's no wonder why Chryslers eating it.

Knowing you just paid 75% of the entire blue book value of the jeep to fix a radiator, heater core, alignment & oil change = Priceless

pjkatz04, my heart truly goes out to you. You have been robbed. I really feel bad that you got screwed so horribly bad. $125/hour labor is absolutely insane no matter where you are. Anyone that charges that is a crook, or working on Indy Cars. Please, please, please, go get a haynes manual and do at least some of the work on your Jeep yourself. You can get a good Craftsman tool set that you can use for most any repair you will ever do on your Jeep for under $200 and a Haynes manual is $15. You really owe it to yourself to do as many of these repairs as you can yourself. You will literally save thousands upon thousands of dollars over the lifetime of your Jeep by doing repairs yourself. I really just don't have words to express how badly you were screwed out of. That is truly criminal.

why didnt you just do the repairs yourself... i got in a fender bender and ended up totaling the other car... only scrathes to my bumper cover, and cracked the radiator and also had a hole in it...
im still working to put my rig back together... waiting for the new radiator to come in... it came in yesterday, but it was pretty bashed up and it was bent... i hate fedex, reason i always use UPS when i ship is because fedex ix so careless...
so now i have to wait till thursday to receive the new radiator...

radiator $150.00
coolant $30.00
AC recharge $35.00
labor PRICELESS

Holy S***, I work at a Honda dealership (to which I get harassed about my Jeep, but it's okay cause it's awsome) and our canadian rate is 99/hr, but they robbed you on the rad, mine died in about 5days after I bought our Jeep (was pretty disappointing) but still, oem was $460.00Cad, Napa was 280cad, and I got one off ebay for $120 with shipping and duty, rad came in perfect no dents or being bent, put it in, and hasn't leaked since, at the very least you probably could have got the parts and they would have installed them for you ... but yea, $275 american... I feel for ya man, plus if your going to a dealership, make them give you a quote before they do anything, at least you'll have their flat rate time before they do the job, that way if there's a lazy/slow *** mechanic, that doesn't beat the flat rate, then you can be like f/u this is the quote you supplied and this is the quote i'm going to pay for the job that was done, and will usually get your way
