remove ac compressor support to remove cylinder head?

so i've been trying to remove my cylinder head, and it was not happening then i realized the piece of metal that the ac compressor bolts on to is attached. If i remove this would I be able to remove my cylinder head?

We'll, it seems to reason that if that piece of metal is hindering the removal of the head then removing it would be the thing to do. So yes, remove it.

That head on the 4.0 is also pretty heavy, I'm told....so get ready for a struggle if you dont have an engine hoist available.
