******PICS ADDED*******

Anyone here know of a common issue with a zj rear wiper motor??
The shaft was siezed when i got it, but i have freed it up and when i reassemble it the motor will go to the home position but will not cycle the oposite way. Anyone have a schematic, of a breakdown of the internal circuit, i have voltage on the motor, but the curcuit will not reverse the voltage to run the motor the other way!!!! i have also used the board from another wiper and it does the same thing........ PITA

When you unseized the shaft you completely pulled it out of the housing? If so did you mark the original position?

The gear wheel has that brass plate on its face which means that if the gear is advanced or retarded then the pins will not make contact with the proper surfaces. It will then only move in direction depending on how much the gear was moved.

Yea i reindexed the wheel, that is not the issue, there are 2 relays on that board, one is for one direction, and the other clicks in at the end of the stroke to revers the voltage on the motor to make it return to the rest position. Mine will not energize the second relay so the wiper is always trying to run in the home position. I have a solution, i can post pictures tomorrow if anyone wants, it involves replacing that board with a relay and 2 switches.... its sorta ghetto fab, but you will have a rear wiper that works, just no delay circuit.

Ok here are the pics, i used a 3 contact 12v relay. 2 momentaty switches.
The idea is to have the relay latch in one position feeding it +12v, then when it contacts the other switch the relay opens to supply the motor with -12V this repeats so long as there is power supplied.. There is a pin epoxied to the gear that contacts the switches. I have tested it and it does what it is supposed to. ill install it and post more pics. if i can ill get a vid of it working on the bench..

If anyone wants the schematic for this please PM me.
