rear windshield wiper

ok. i just took a trip to vermont the other day. on the way back i noticed that the rear wiper wasnt working properly. when i turn it on it will make its first path fine but on the second pass it goes all the way to one side and on the way back it stops a little more than half way back. what could be causing this?

Does it go to the park position when you shut it off? If not I would suspect the motor being bad. I replaced mine this year, I think about $60 from AutoZone.

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how do you have time to do it over.

Could still be the motor as it has a printed circuit board controlling the wiper. Other then that I don't know.
