rear door and window shocks

OK, we all know the ZJ is notorious for the rear hatch falling down and smacking us on top the head. So my question is this, where have you guys found to buy "GOOD" replacements for the rear door shocks and the window shocks at good prices?

I paid about that for the ones from o'reillys with lifetime warranty. Been on more than a year and still real strong!

93 red ZJ 190k 4.0. Spent more money than I should have ...

Isn't red the only color a vehicle should be?
If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

Never had that happen... Got some a Checker (O'Reillys now) many years ago. Cheap.

Maybe they got a company that actually knows how to manufacture struts to do the 96-98 lift gate supports :P

Mine I need to get around to replacing. As they haven't worked in the last 10 years far as I know.

If a week goes by without needing to replace something, pinch me because I must be dreaming.

Well, I am getting some from a member here who is parting out his wrecked zj. Right place right time for me I guess. $55 for all 4 plus the headlight switch shipped. Worth a shot to me.

Well its racked up 20k miles in the last 12 years. Only real reason I'm probably going to fix it next weekend is that 12k of those miles have been put on in the last year by myself.

Haven't done the window struts as I haven't gotten to making it open yet, but i just changed hatch struts. got mine at rockauto.com for around 12 apiece if i remember right. Not exactly time tested yet but I'm fairly sure they're going to last from what Ive seen thus far.

I got mine from Advance Auto Parts. They fit fine, and Advance Auto has a ton of discount codes online if you buy them online and pick it up at the store. The latest coupon code I used was dealio, it is $20 of a $50 purchase, or $40 off of a $100 purchase. There is a ton out there, big20 gets you 20% off, etc...

I need to do mine and was thinking to order from rock auto as they have great shipping rates from the states to the UAE. May look into it after my vacation!

Funny how after you change them, it's like you have super strength in your arms cause it lifts and stays by itself. Took me a month to get used to the fact I didnt have to dodge the gate after I grabbed my stuff...
