Good Morning-

My moms 2000 grand cherokee seems to have a jammed lock on the driver side rear door. When you hit the unlock or lock button, you hear...eeeeeaaaaaa (aka the most annoying sound in the world)....Sounds like the lock is trying to engage/disengage but cant...Also, the door is stuck in the locked position so she can not open the door unless you manually reach around and push the slider to the unlock position from the inside...

Any ideas whats wrong? How can i fix it ?

sounds like you need a new door lock actuator.

EDIT:I could only find one for the ZJ but its simular to this..
