re- useing shocks

so i curentaly have a bb on the ol' WJ, and naturally want to go bigger, i'm thinking i'll part together a kit instead of buying one, can i use the shocks i got for the bb with a 4'' lift, i dont want to lose any flex, but never got a lenght on the shocks

10-4, i thought i remembered that somewhere in my reading of 100000000000's of pages of stuff i saw shock lengths for like " 2-4" of lift "

their new shocks and just got broken in and ride great so i didnt want to sell them off right away

You never know until you measure it. My cousin bought a Black Diamond 4" kit for his YJ, and the shocks that came with it were way too short. We installed shock extenders on the tops.

Maybe yours are just fine. In fact, unless you're changing a bunch of other stuff, it's probably your control arms that limit droop, so longer shocks may NOT give you more droop anyhow.
