Re-painting my ZJ

So i've got a 95 zj limited with the champaigne gold (whos color code duplicolor doesnt have) and since theres a few chips and spots in the paint I'm going to re-spray it come warm weather. I'm thinking a flat or satin black or something that would still look good with the stock darkish gold trimline and inner parts of the snowflake style rims. What paints or spray cans have you guys used and how did you like it or didnt like it. I'm new to painting so if you have any tips or advice I'm all ears. Thanks guys!

Awesome did not know about that site. I do like the stock color, I'd rather just touch up the paint since it's mostly in great shape save for a few spots! Thanks nnovkzj!

Most people do terrible on their first rattle can paint job. It takes a little practice and if you don't spend about twice the amount of time preping as you do painting then it's probably gonna look bad.
I spent about 4 hours prepping my cladding and only about an hour painting it. Looks great though

sent from: somewhere

mopar has paint that matches stock colors ask a dealer

flat paint is a bi*** to keep up just dont do it period

if you do use rustolium primer it lays the best but you will be doing it all over again a week later no matter how good you paint it

I tried to get some t/up paint from the dealer the other day and was told they dont stock it anymore as there were danger to health with it so its all been removed from the parts catalogue, even in the US. This is BS right?

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.

What i was after was the T/up paint in the tube with the brush inside, perhaps this is made up differently?
