I'm going to put some .75" spacers on the rear springs. Should I put those on, then flex it out and measure to get a more exact length for the bump stop extension?

I found some 1x3 .12 wall steel tube on amazon for $13. That should work for a 3" extension. If I need more do I use big washers under the spacer? I can't find 1" tube wider than 3". Or if I measure and It's 4" maybe use 2 stacked 1x2 steel tubes?

Are you still telling me that I dont need longer lower rear control arms? Just bump stops?

Could my control arm bushings be bad and letting the axle sit closer to the front of the wheel well?

My spacers showed up today. .75" rear and 1.75" front. They are installed and I'm sitting at 22 1/8"(front) and 21 7/8" (rear). I also hammered some of the body seam in the front wheel well flat and a massaged some sheet metal behind the bumper. Now I need to flex out the front and see what needs trimmed and how many hockey pucks to buy. And measure in the rear so I can order some rear bump stop spacers. My front axle is almost centered now. But I'll still be putting on the RE front track bar after I get a new heim joint.

I also picked up a 242 out of a 98 zj for $100 and 3 bricks of 22lr. I'll start spraying everything with PB tomorrow.

Get a stubby 9/16" wrench, Gear Wrench if you can. You'll need it for the top bolt on the t-case.

I have a full set of stubby wrenches, but not gear wrench.

I talked to Kolak today and I learned something important.

MY CONTROL ARMS ARE ON THE WRONG ENDS!

The adjustables are supposed to go in the rear, so they were installed backwards by the previous owner.

Now I need to figure out the easiest way to swap them.

You should just put in some 4.5" coils and skip the spacer. Paint the moabs black and please put the trackbar back in the original hole that looks super sketchy!

I already put in the spacers, I haven't decided if I'm going to paint them black or not yet. I kind of like the silver powder coat, and I have an RE trackbar that will be going in the factory hole soon.

I started switching my control arms front to back today. One of the bolts had no washers, one of the heim ends had no grease zurt , one of the bolts was the wrong size and seized in the metal bushing sleeve(i finally ended up cutting it out with a reciprocating saw), and one of my brake lines was loose at the caliper and starting to leak. So tomorrow I'll hit the parts store and get the control arms sorted, get some yj front brakes lines, and then flex it out to see if I have the rear control arms the right length(they are already 1"longer than before). And if I have time I'll measure for bump stops.

And buy a manual so I have torque specs to check all the suspension bolts.

I switched the arms around and set the rear arms to 17.25" per RE instructions. Here's a pic of it flexed up in the well.

Now I've got 3/4" in front and 3/8" in the back with it tucked. Now I need to work on bump stops.
