RB1 Wiring Harness (82207541) Installation

I have a '99 WJ so need to use the wiring harness adapter to install the 22 pin stereo to my Jeep.

I decided to go the cheap route and got the harness that I have to splice myself (9.99 vs 89.99).

Now, I removed my stereo once to install my iPod adapter and I don't remember 2 plugs being in there. Are there 2 plugs that need to be spliced together? I obviously will find out soon enough, but thought I'd ask if anyone has done this before.

Also, I noticed the 22 pin side has about 2 wires for each color. Do the 2 whites attach to the ONE white on the old 7-pin side?

My biggest mechanical weakness is wiring and electricity.

Even with the Infinity Gold? I thought the speakers were run from the amp.
