So I was driving home the other night and all of the sudden the jeep started running rough.

Got out and checked it and the #4 spark plug was just gone. Completely. Wire was hanging from the distributor. Nuresed it the last couple blocks home and went and got a replacement. Put it in and it is better but I am now getting a stuttering. Had advanced auto pull the codes and got

Unplug the negative on the battery. Turn the ignition on. If the problem persists try new plugs and dist cap.

So you're saying the plug was completely gone....nothing in the spark plug hole? I would be most concerned with how that came to be if that's the case!

Other than that x2 on tune up - plugs/wires/cap/rotor.

Wow, that's kinda wild. The new one is holding tight? I would really check those threads out! I'd guess the wire that was attached to that plug when it got launched out of the head probably has a break in the wire internally. I'd start with wires.
