Radio Died today (and pwr ant. went down)

i was driving along like any other person listening to my cd player and ..... no more music i think i blew a fuse to the power antenna and amp but have no clue where it is i have checked the fuse on the back of the stereo and the fuse panel and under the hood as well, were is that fuse hiding anyone know???

If the power antenna went down, then it's not that fuse. Likely the radio died and that signalled the antenna to lower, maybe due to a fuse. Not sure what fuse it is.

the radio still works fine i tried it in another car, it's almost like i fried a wire or something

there are two poawr wires going to the radio.
One power the unit when you turn the ignition on.
The other supplies power 24/7 to keep your settings and clock correct.

Here's the wire guide for the radio.
The "+12 volt ignition wire" is the one you want to look for.
Make sure the pin in the plug is good.

if everything behind the radio looks good.
its probably a fuse.
Did you check the fuses yet?
The radio is fuse #10. It's a red 10 amp fuse.

i have checked the fuses and the amp under the back seat i wouldn't have posted if i was a fool with no idea that is a waste of time, my prob is a fuse for sure but i don't know the location of it, the radio works just no power ant which turns on the amp and allows music to come out

There is nothing better than an OEM stereo failing. It justifies hunting down a new HU … and speakers … and amp and anything else that tickles your fancy. It is like opening Pandora’s Box

Maybe you should buck up for an FSM and not have to depend on others for fuse location then.
