Radiator Replacement

I blew my radiator on sunday and was wondering if there was anything i should look out for in the means of being hard to do or get at. Its a 1994 with a 5.2. Thanks

Pretty straighforward. Remove fan and shroud as one. The fan nut is removed in the normal direction. Some say they've done the job with these in place, but have found it easier to have them remove. As you need to transfer all "air dams" over to the new radiator, you might want to have some adhesive available. When installing the new rad, you'll wish you had a couple more hands to line up the pins. After installation, place a large piece of cardboard over the rad to protect the core when installing the fan/shroud.

Awsome, thanks a lot. I have a buddy thats gonna help me with this so i will have the extra set of hands. Cardboard is a really great idea. I wouldn't want to lose another $125.

Don't forget to properly bleed the system when you refill the coolant.

The cardboard not only protects the radiator nicks/puncture from tools but it also saves your knuckles.
