radiator protection

My Grand Cherokee 2003 model has zero protection for the radiator under the front bumper, bought in new and the dealer told me that was the design at the time.
Is that the correct advice?

thanks

I spoke to Mike Wiley at Protofab, and he told me they have a WJ bumper in the works. It has taken them long to develop since they are working frame braces onto it. Protofab makes some cool stuff.
