I will second this
Your transmission is likely fine. There's no way for you to tell its broken cause your transfer case fell apart.

The transfer case being exploded like it is will cause the transmission to not function properly, but I won't go as far to say that the transmission is not bad unless I saw more pics. Can you take more pics of the spot where the transfer case connects to the transmission? Take some pics of this hole that you say is in the transmission.

I would like to see what a used, $900 bumper looks like. It must have a $500 winch and be made of polished stainless steel. Did the tow truck driver that charges $70 per mile appraise the bumper?

OP, if you can't understand why all the gears are gone with the transfer case busted in half, you need to back down the attitude and let some people here help you.

BTW if you don't have the time or money to fix it, how are you going to find the time or money to shop for and buy another vehicle? Car shopping takes time and requires money.

Good luck whatever you decide, this was an expensive lesson to learn

This is your transfer case, that bolts to your transmission and it looks dry like it had no fluid in it.

the parts that are falling out looks like its from the tcase not the tranny. In the pictures you posted the tranny appears to be in 1 piece and is just fine. The reason you lost drive, park and all that was because of the tcase. Its like putting the tcase in neutral, once you do that park, drive reverse and all that will do nothing tell you put the tcase back into gear. But it sounds like you are not worthy of a jeep, so just sell it to some 1 that is.

By the way how can you afford to buy a truck but not a $200(or less) tcase from a junk yard. It would only take a few hours to make the swap and there are well detailed threads on here on how to do that

I was thinking this to, but we don't really have a clue, what condition his jeep is in.

This "But it sounds like you are not worthy of a jeep, so just sell it to some 1 that is."
Is uncalled for

i can guess why it blew up since you don't even know what part is where.

that is a classic "ran with a stretched chain too long" failure. 100$ and a couple hours labor would have saved you a ton of headache about a year ago.
