Questions on Tranny

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has done any Valve body (VB) mods on their tranny? See I was wondering if you can just do it by the computer with the WJ's , or if you actully have to do the VB in the actual tranny. Of course with doing the VB you need a tranny cooler, and then a new torque converter. Faster shifts= hotter tranny fluid= need cooler. Please let me know

Hmmm.... I recall reading years back that quicker shifts actually resulted in cooler tranny fluid temp. (Slippage = heat; less slippage = less heat). At any rate, I put a shift kit in the TH350 in my old Chevy K20 about 20 years ago and no problems.

Not sure why you'd want to change the torque converter unless you needed a higher stall speed - which you shoudn't unless you have a highly modified engine.
