Question on skid plates

just realized my 94 zj limited didn't come with skid plates.
My question:

Can I get better than the stock skid plates? are there any after-market ones that are stronger/lighter?

thanks in advance

The cheapest way to get factory skids is to call around to junk yards and u pull it places.

My gas tank skid was 35 bucks from one. I just cleaned it up and little and some krylon made it just like new.
