Question about pcv valve rubber hose

I can't find the official Mopar replacement pcv valve rubber hose, so I just got a foot piece of 3/8" transmission oil cooler hose. Will that work?

yea thats really the thing to do. spend $3 vs $20 for the dealer plastic hose.

I don't have a socket big enough to fit over the fill and drain plugs on the transfer case. I'm going to have to buy one, but I don't know what size I will need. The transfer case was 24(something) J. Thank you!

does a 30mm socket sound right?
