Question about MAP sensor tube

Heyo

A while back I managed to sheer the tube that goes from the map sensor to the intake manifold in half, I just used some electrical tape and taped it back together but its pretty ghetto. What I was wondering is if its a part that can be purchased, what would it be called. Or, Can I just use some tubing from the parts store and slap it on there, and would that affect its function if the ID of the tube was larger than the stock one.

Thanks in advance for your time.

MAP line- just measure the ID, go to Kragen, Napa, etc and get some fuel hose or something to replace it with... The hose just has to to be strong enough to withstand some vacuum without collapsing.

another thing I had intended to mention is that im from california and the smog testers really frown on things that arent stock, hopefully they wont mind that.

lol I could be wrong of course- but I HIGHLY doubt they're even going to notice... and even if they did- the hose isn't altering the intended purpose of the original equipment so I wouldn't think you'd have anything to worry about.

I dunno what part of cali your from but round here they are really nit pickey about using aftermarket hose and it having to be the right kind of hose etc, you cant go using feul injector hose to connect to your air box or they will pass a brick right there on the spot lol even though itll take the heat and does the job. Thanks for the info, Ill prolly go ahead and do that, I have a "hookup" that will overlook stupid things like that as long as my jeep passes

That hose has to be ordered with the line that goes from the rear valve cover breather to manifold. But some good vac line should do
