Confused. The 89 shows to have a 2.5 or a 4.0 engine...there is no 5.2 engine.

NAPA show your application to have an integral water tube... Does it look like this?

counterclockwise

There's no integral tube on the Renix. It's a separate threaded tube. AZ and a few other sites list pumps as CCW.

What do you mean by a 5.2 serpentine?

Sorry I got the year rong its a 98 with a 5.2 in it I asked the queation in an other threed and when the Mod moved it They made the corect title for the year I put.

Ive trryed croses referancing with 5.2 Dodge pumps but every boxx was back words to. The all had the same pump on the inside as a V belt.

Even new Dealer ship looked up by vin was wrong.

Well that explains it. You have a GRAND Cherokee. You're in the wrong forum. This is the XJ forum, you need the ZJ.

ALL serpentine belt dodge pumps are "reverse" or CCW rotation.
the OLD (earlier than 92) dodge pumps for LA SERIES 318 motors with V-belt drives are all "normal" or clockwise rotation.

if you are looking in the right spot, they're impossible to miss.

i've only seen a few clockwise pumps go in because the box was mislabeled, someone put the wrong part back into it on a return, or the person buying it didn't know what they were after.

the correct pump will have an R stamped on the impeller. collapsing upper hoses is also a sign of bad hoses and plugged radiators.
