A question about 4" lifts
so when you buy a 4" lift, do they lift the front 4" and the rear 3-3.5 to balance them, or do they go 4" all around. just curious. this kind of info really isn't on anyone's sites

depends on the company. My Zone lift (BDS coils) was 4 in the front and 3.5 in the rear. that does not mean its level. With my V8 up front i added the 3/4 KOR spacers because i like the level/front a little high look

I think that's common across the board with most, with the kits providing lift but leaving room for customized leveling.
Not a 4in lift, but the OME 2 inch lift comes with 4 springs and 4 shocks. The only difference with those springs is from left to right, with the drivers side being a tad longer to counter initial driver weight when settling. From there, there is a .25 inch spacer/shim or a .75 inch to lift/level the front to personal preference.

anyone? if i were to guess, since the front and rear are being moved up the same amount, then it would be fairly level. 4" front spring, 3.5 rear + 3/4 spacers on both = 4 3/4 front, 4 1/4 rear, subtract v8 weight in front should be close to 4 1/4 front and back. am i way off here or am i thinking right???

Why not get a 4 1/2" lift and forget the spacers?

How about just forget the spacers? The v8 weight 438 pounds, the 4.0 is 515. The v8, in theory will net more lift

i want that extra 3/4, and i the price of a 4.5 lift vs. 4 inch is way more than the spacers
