QuadraDrive Life?

I read in the book "4 Wheelers Bible" that clutch type LSD's have a life of about 100,000 miles. My Jeep has 82K. Does that mean my LSD's are about done for? I know they opperate alittle different than regular LSD's but any experance/information would be helpfull!

My WJ is also a 99 LTD with Q-Drive.. I just passed 130k and haven't had any issues yet.

We got our first snow on Turkey Day, so I was able to play around a bit in the Jeep and everything worked fine as far as 4wd goes.

I know that's not the technical answer you're looking for, but it does show that they can last 130k + miles.

As far as I understand when they wear out you won't notice a difference except you don't have LSD any more...so it isn't like you will feel a binding or anything. You haven't taken your Jeep offroad yet have you?

I know it still works now becuase sometimes in tight parking lot situations I can feel the LSD's "grab" alittle. When it wares out you are basicly just left with open diffs. I guess I'll have to take her out for alittle snow fun to make sure she still works good!
