Get a atlas, or try and find a rubi one for cheap

The 242 is ok too, its not a HD as discussed millions of times...but you do need to find one from a V8.

The only reason why I want to ditch my TC is so I can get a SYE and lose the tc drop.

It may not matter to some guys but if you drive on the street with snow, you dont want to have the front end locked up, but you still want power going to 1 of the wheels up there.

Unless all you see is the trail a selectable locker is a better way to go....but I do agree a axle upgrade up front would definately be a good idea.

I don't only see trail, but I never see snow unless im out snow wheeling, but then its 2-2 1/2 feet deep usually, and a locker WOULD be nice up front. Hey...if you only wanna have one wheel turning just lock in one hub =P Another nice thing, is with lockout hubs and a 2wd tcase, NOTHING in the front end moves. Thats great. Break something in the front end? Don't worry, you can unlock it all so it doesnt spin...balanced front DS? Who cares? Minimal wear on your gears and bearings mean they last way longer also.
