I like your "cowl" hood... ever think off adding vents to the hood to help cooling?

i thought about vents, but $3 and 5 min of work is much better than about $50 and a few hours of work

Do you have any issues with water getting in there?

How many of you guys actually need snorkels?

Are you actually waterprofing your rigs? I doubt it. Kinda pointless to run a snorkel if you don't really need it. On top of the fact that Arb and other formed one's look like junk. PVC one's look REALLY tacky.

Sorry to hijack your ZJ thread.

i dont PLAN on going into deep water, but unfortunately some things happen unexpectedly. I would much rather have to replace a cap and rotor/some electronics over getting a new engine when i get hydro-locked. Also, just from normal mudding, i was caking my intake with mud... therefore sucking water out of teh mud, and into the engine. My snorkel is for safety reasons to help keep my engine alive and well... lol.

- the bumper is a kennesaw mountain wincher, about $700 after shipping
- the red toggle is the master switch for the winch. I wanted it big and bulky so that i dont accidentaly turn/leave it on
- no pics of the interior til I finish it up. It is really ugly right now, but I plan on picking up some more cans of bedliner later this week so hopefully i'll get some up soon.

I undersand the agurement of a snorkle for hyro-lock insureance, but I agree with H3 that they look horrible.

If I did plan on doing water crossing I would get one... however I plan on avoiding deep water.
