Problem on the road today

My girlfriend called me today and told me that she had a problem with her 1997 4.0l zj. She was on the highway doing about 70mph with the cruise control on and started loosing power. She took it out of cruise control mode and stepped on the gas and the vehicle continued to loose power. She pulled over, shut it off, and re-started it and it worked alright for about 10minutes and then did the same thing again. Has anyone ever exxperienced this type of problem? Could it be a faulty fuel pump????

Thank You

That exact same thing happened to my 98 Grand. I replaced the fuel pump and it solved the problem.

it wouldnt be the starter i highly doubt, because why would ur starter have ne thing to do driving down the road, the starter isnt engaged, but my first thought was wires plugs that kinda thing but if it was alright for a little bit then did it again, my guess would go for the fuel pump...
