98 TSi Limited 197k miles 5.2L for $1000. Had to replace water pump and battery at time of purchase. Also have replaced the starter, steering fluid pressure line, tensioner pulley, serpentine belt, all front end bushings, and drivers door. Drivers door was my fault.

Dark slate 5.9 116,000 miles, arb bumper, RE super ride 3.5" lift, custom jl/focal/Pioneer stereo, k&n intake, flowmaster exhaust, 31x10.5's on fake bead lock wheels.

And I've bought a steering wheel, adapters, rubicon take offs, stereo remote battery, TPS, spring spacers, Serpentine belt, lp10000 winch, steering stabilizer, recovery kit, Bilstein's, RE front track bar, tinted windows, hockey pucks, I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.

Now I'm in it about $5700.
Here's how it was.

And now.

5.9 Limited, RE 4" lift, RE FTB, JK take offs w/ 255/75/17 BFG MT's, 1.25" wheel adapters, ARB Bumper, Superwinch LP10000, K&N intake, Flowmaster, custom JL & Focal stereo, 20% tint, KOR roof mount tire carrier, JCR sliders, cobra 75 wx st

$800, took it off my dads hands to get him out of a tight spot. Had roughly 180,000 on it. Check out my build thread. It needed some work, well 'needs'.

I personally like how it looked before. Black rims really went well with the dark slate. But it's your jeep, if it makes you happy that is all that matters.

I agree that the black wheels looked good, but they had the wrong backspacing. Any kind of flex and they hit the fenders, because they hung out the sides. I may paint the Rubicon wheels black in the future, but I'm still working on functional mods and maintenance. It wouldn't do this before.

1994 5.2 164k when I bought it Sept' '12....now at 168k.......3.5", 31" KM2's that were 95%+ when I bought it, 15x8 American Racings, K&N CAI, 242 swap, and 2 Hella lights all already on it when I bought it. Payed $1500. Served me well to this day, not a serious issue yet.
