power windows

i have a 98 grand cherokee laredo my power windows stopped workin. i haveread several threads and have tried everything????? dazed and confused... all fuses are good except abs is not hot. i have no pwer in the plug that goes into switch have chased wires back through the boot to inside the jeep cannot find any broken are otherwised damaged wires?????im new to electrical issues dont know wat to do next someone pls help me cheapest way possible!!!!!!:confu sed:

I fixed mine by changing the window switch. Both the drivers switch and passenger switch have to be operable for it to work properly.
Otherwise, a new track from the jy is like 30 bucks

anyway i can check the switch itself to c if its bad before i buy one

i have then just laying around from my jy visits. you can test it, i believe its a type a locking system

I found my issue to be a broken wire on the PASSENGER side floorboard, under the carpet near the door. It was broken inside the insulation.

2007 5.7 Hemi, Ltd. QD II -
1997 ZJ, 4,0 select trac, Up country, track lok.

Ok still not got windows up tried jumping but nothibg happened wire i was holding jus got re
ally hot. Now my dash lights work but instrument gauges none of them are working somebody help PLEASE
