power steering pop

yea we just got dumped with a few inches of the white stuff over here on long island tonight so i thought id be festive and do some donuts in the parking lot before my 6pm class started. Little did i know the tube going to the power steering module thing wasnt clamped and it popped off makin my steering hard as a rok and i started smelling smoke through the vents.
i back it up and parked and turned it off to find a fire on the front left 2 spark plugs which i put out with some snow. I got pissed wnt to class, just to find that the teacher wasnt showing up. Some kid in my class was a tech for jeeps at some point so he came and diagnosed the problem. he popped the tube back on and i drove home w my crazy tension steering wheel slowly. Im buying a clamp for the tube in the morning so if i fill the power steering fluid back up (since it leaked) will my steering be smooth again? thanks.

It will probably be fine. If you didn't run out completely while you were still 'having fun'. Since your friend just put the line back on, I'll assume it was the return line. Just add fluid and keep and eye on it. You may need to add a couple additional times until all the air gets out of the lines.

theres a mini dipstick on the cap, put a bit of PS fluid in, start it, turn the wheel back and forth (jack it off the ground first) then check the level again, and repeat till full.
