Power Stearing Question

Is there way to turn down the sensitivity of the power stearing. It's so light compared to all the other cars i have driven. On the highway it seems to me way too touchy.

I don't know of any way to "dial down" the assist on the power steering. I don't think you can. In later years the ZJ did come with variable assist power steering from the factory. Perhaps it's possible to transplant one of these units into your ZJ? BTW I'm just down the street from you, in Kenmore.

Why would you change the pully? What would be the advantage? I'm just curious?

Before i thought about it more i was thinking if i slowed down the speed of the power stearing pump it Might make the assist less, thought about it more and realized it wont work. It might make the power at a stop less but it would still be spinning quite fast at hightway speeds.
