You do realize you have to do a WHOLE lot just to make it worth your while of putting a snorkel on. Water proofing the electronics, putting the breathers for the axles, tranny, and tcase up really high, etc.

Thats the best since they won't raise the front or rear diff vent tubes. So, you don't suck air into the engine, you'll still suck it into your differentials and transmission.

Theres no vacuum into those breathers like there is in the intake. Also are you saying its not worthwhile to save the motor if you don't save your diffs at the same time? I know you've heard it before, but i've submerged all my vents before without contaminating ANY fluids.

I'm just pointing out that there are a lot of other things to worry about before you need to "sport" a snorkel. If you actually do deep water crossings, great. If not, there is nothing that stinks of a poser faster.

Ummm, actually I think you couldn't be more wrong with regards to the poser remark. I mean, install a snorkel, wrap the parts under the hood with heat guard and you have much cooler air going into intake. Whats wrong with cooler air?

I dont see why? I never said i want it too look cool or to "sport" it. I went mudding and through a puddle of water, my jeep stalled out, i took out the plugs there was a little bit of water on them, so i cleaned it out and started it back up. I do not want it to be worse next time. I looked there is a tube into the intake from the front grille, that means all the water from the front of the car will enter the intake, that leads back to the reason why i wanted a snorkel.
