Possible Quadra-drive/Quadra-trac II binding problems

Does anybody know of or have heard of WJ's having binding problems with their quadra-drive or quadra-tracII systems? If so what years and with which system. I'm trying to upgrade to a WJ over my current XJ and remembered hearing about some bugs in one of those systems, anybody know out there? Have any suggestions on which WJs to stay away from if any?

The only way it would bind would be the use of wrong oil. And it's common to put wrong oil there, since all jeep t-cases require ATF, while this one requires special jeep fluid (mobilfluid 424).
So simply when buying check if it was well maintained, and if proper fluids were used. Mine is well maintained by myself, always with proper stuff, and no binding, no front engagement delay- no problems.

My Zj used to bind making sharp turns in parking lots. I have never had a problem with my quadradrive binding
